1. Introduction

BibleNote Widget ("we", "our", or "the App") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how information is collected, used, and protected when you use the BibleNote Widget iOS app.

The app is designed to provide Bible verses, notes, and widgets with light personalization. We collect minimal data only when necessary to improve the app experience.


2. Information We Collect

2.1 Information You Provide

During onboarding, we may ask optional questions such as:

  • How you are feeling lately
  • Areas you want to grow in
  • Topics that speak to you

These responses are used only for in-app personalization, such as recommending Bible topics or quotes.

We do NOT: Ask for your name, email, or contact details • Require account registration • Associate responses with your real-world identity

2.2 Automatically Collected Information

We use Mixpanel to understand how users interact with the app, such as:

  • Onboarding completion
  • Feature usage
  • Screen views

This data is collected anonymously or using a randomly generated device identifier. It is used only for analytics and app improvement, not for advertising, and is not sold or shared with third parties for marketing purposes.

2.3 Purchases

Premium features are unlocked using Apple In-App Purchases (StoreKit 2).

We do NOT collect or store: Credit card details or payment information. All payment processing is handled securely by Apple.

2.4 Sign in with Apple & iCloud Backup

BibleNote Widget offers an optional Sign in with Apple feature used solely to:

  • Enable iCloud backup and restore of app data
  • Sync local settings, favorite quotes, collections, and user-added content across devices

When you sign in with Apple: Authentication is handled entirely by Apple. We do not receive or store your Apple ID password. We do not access your personal Apple ID information beyond a unique identifier provided by Apple.

All backed-up data is stored securely in your private iCloud account and is not transmitted to any third-party servers.


3. How We Use Your Information

We use collected information to:

Personalize Bible topics and content based on your preferences

Improve app usability and performance

Understand Engagement

Understand onboarding and feature engagement

Fix bugs and enhance stability

We do NOT use your data for: Advertising • Behavioral profiling across apps • Selling or renting data

We do NOT sell or trade your personal data.

For subscription management and compliance

All third-party services are required to handle data securely. We do not store user data on our own servers. All backup and restore functionality is handled through Apple's iCloud services when Sign in with Apple is enabled.


5. Data Retention

Onboarding responses are retained only as long as needed for personalization

Analytics data is retained according to Mixpanel's retention policies

You may reset personalization by reinstalling the app


6. Children's Privacy

BibleNote Widget is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
